The Smokin' Elmores

The Smokin’ Elmores

The Smokin’ Elmores are an independent 4-piece rock-blues band from central northern Tasmania, Australia.

With a strong, classic lead female vocalist supported by hard-edged blues guitar tones, they generally fall into the rock-blues genre, with a nod to several other styles. Classic rock and modern blues are certainly the common denominator, but alt-country, old school rock'n'roll, pop and even Americana can pop up at times, such is the eclectic mix of styles and interests within the band.

Having performed in the covers scene continuously for more than 20 years, The Smokin' Elmores hit a 'sweet spot' in their lineup and band chemistry in early 2019, when they commenced writing and performing their own music. Intended as an original band back in 1999, but side stepping down another path, the roads have now diverged for this band, finding renewed purpose and direction.

The band write together as a group of four, and have also collaborated with Allan Caswell on several tracks to date.
